Observations in THAW

Permafrost

The map shows Russian weather stations conducting observations of ground temperature down to 3.2 m depth (small dots) and CALM sites (yellow triangles). Permafrost is spanning all zones from sporadic (light blue) to continuous permafrost (lilac).

Atmospheric and flux observations

Table with a description of involved THAW sites.

The figure shows geographical distribution of sites with access through THAW partners and non-contracting partners. The diamonds are flux sites, the dots are atmospheric sites. The ship campaigns will take part in the indicated area in the ocean.
